Question: Do U Txt?

I have a couple of questions for those of you who are attached to your mobile device:  Have you ever txt’d a program like American Idol?  Have you ever given or donated by txt?  If you were given the opportunity to give by txt would you be interested?  Its probably obvious where I’m going with this but I’ve long been interested in finding a way to allow donors to support the Mission by texting.  There is some technology that is out there to help with this, but I just don’t know if there is an interest in it from the public.  Let’s just do a little informal survey to se how we at TRM use texting and what we think of the idea.  Let me know. DC

I would probably give via txt eventually…but for sure…I would not be the first one to jump on the band wagon. I have not totally weaned away from checks yet!
It’s not that different than buying online…but I would have to cozy up to the idea first.

I use txt to inform and get responses from friends and family..I’m not sure about txt donations..but maybe its a good idea to explore..my grandkids use txt more than I do..LOL
    Another approach is positive designation..
At many large compnies and government agencies the monthly united way gifts can be “Positively Designated” to TRM and some organizations allow one time deductions from current pay to be sent to a 501-C3..such as TRM..PTL

The only time I tried texting I spent an unbelievable amount of time working out all the words just to have it float in cyberspace and never come down to earth! After that experience, I can’t see myself jumping at any chance to text any time soon.

I don’t have time to TXT but I would like to repeat something I heard on the news. Obama used the internet to raise funds in a way no one ever did before ane it was very successful. You might be onto something.

Why not?, 15 years ago the idea of internet commerce was ridiculous, now it is mainstream. It would take some creative marketing strategies towards older generations more likely to give in order to be successful though!

I think TXT is something that the young people are into, I know my Grandaughter does nothing but TXT her friends, but she doesn’t
TXT me, if she wants an answer. I feel that persons over 40 probably do not TXT, but I may be wrong.

I’d never txt’d until recently. I was kind of afraid of it. Because I didn’t know how to use it. Once I did it, I found it to be easy and I use it, but not frequently. I agree that the target audience of txt’rs are the under 40 crowd. And they are the future…for giving, for volunteering.

    Two problems:
    1. Thumbs to big
    2. Buttons to small
