At first FB was just a site for college kids, but in the last year it has been increasingly used by older people to keep track of what their children and grandchildren are doing. In the process, they also keep track of their other older friends. My 87 year old mother is on FB and actually was on before I was. I didn't join until now when you wrote this on your blog. FB is considered safer than My Space, which can easily give people viruses because the coding can be manipulated on My Space. Not many people use FB to donate at this time, although that may become increasingly popular. (Look under "causes" to see sites to which people can donate.)

I've been playing around with Facebook for a couple of months...and it is quite addictive! I love connecting with old friends and having a surprise chat with the instant message box. Very fun!! And it is a great way to stay in touch with family and see the latest pictures of my adorable grandsons. I became a friend of TRM and notice many others have too....what a great community connector that could be.
